Long Distance Open Water Swimming Training Camp
We will meet at 1600 in the Hotel for a Safety briefing, introductions followed by a swim in the Bay for you to become acclimatised and for us to put you in to groups according to ability.
Today is a day when you take to the water and get used to your surroundings and the swimmers in your group. Your swim will be 2 hours in with a 1 hour break and a further 2 hours in, giving you a total of 4 swimming hours. For relay swimmers this will be 1 hour swim with a 2 hour break then a further 1 hour swim.
There will be a seminar early evening and an optional night swim.
We move on from the swim achieved yesterday to one of 3 hours in, 1 hour out and a final swim of 2 hours, this will give you a total of 5 hours swimming. For relay swimmers this will be 2 hours in, 2 hours out then a further 1 hour.

This is the day when we step up it up with a straight six hour coastal swim. For those wishing to swim the English Channel this can be used as your qualifying swim For relay swimmers this will be two hours in, one hour out and two hours in
You can enjoy a swim in the morning of up to three hours; or a ten hour swim for those who want to do it; or a day off for those who need it

One final swim of approximately one hour prior to swimmers departing.
We aim to work to the itinerary as far as possible but for safety reasons we might have to swap days around due to the weather and sea conditions. There will be full safety cover for all swims.
